The Georgia Bulldogs faced a 3rd and 2 at their own 37-yard line in the fourth quarter and were up just seven points over the Tennessee Volunteers when London Humphreys made a game-changing catch.

Carson Beck's pass to Humphreys went for 28 yards and a first down on Tennessee's 35-yard line.

Aside from an illegal substitution five-yard penalty, that drive was smooth sailing from there and ended with freshman running back Nate Frazier punching the ball in for a touchdown two yards out.

The score gave Georgia a two-touchdown lead with just over two minutes to go in the game. The Bulldogs' defense was able to shut down Tennessee on their final drive to seal the 31-17 victory.

The game's outcome, however, could have turned out differently if it weren't for Beck's quick and precise decision-making and Humphreys' catch.

Following Georiga's win, head coach Kirby Smart admitted that Georgia was actually trying to force a false start on that particular play. It didn't work out that way, but it also didn't backfire.

"Great catch down the sideline," Smart said. "That was a very unique play because we tried to get them to false start. They didn't, and our center was off balance and was falling back and he just went ahead and snapped it. So it turned into a kind of a busted play that was a big play. And London's been great. He's been such a great kid, such a hard worker."

Humphreys finished hauling in three catches for 63 yards. He was targeted just four times, all in the second half. Through five games this season, the former Vanderbilt transfer has 11 catches for 214 yards.

With wide receiver Dillon Bell dealing with an injury and after a solid outing against the Vols, Humphreys could be on tap for a larger workload when Georgia closes out their regular season against UMass and Georgia Tech.
