Georgia football wide receiver Dillon Bell was spotted wearing a walking boot following the Bulldogs' 31-17 win over the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday night.

Bell left the win in the second quarter with an ankle injury and did not return.

Before exiting, he logged two catches for 12 yards and one carry for a gain of two yards.

Head coach Kirby Smart could not provide a clear update on the severity of Bell's injury right after the game, but he had more information on Monday afternoon.

“No update on Dillon, really,” Smart told reporters. “I just ran into him a few minutes ago. Got an ankle sprain. It’s stable. Not going to require any sort of surgery. Hopeful to get him back."

The Bulldogs are set to face UMass this Saturday and while Bell might not be ready to go by then, there's a possibility that he "could be back" when the Dawgs take on Georgia Tech the following week, according to college football insider Matt Zenitz.

Bell is currently the third on the team in receiving yards with 405 yards on 35 catches and leads the team in touchdowns with four. He also had 106 rushing yards and a touchdown, best for third on the team as well.

Smart also said running back Trevor Etienne, who is dealing with a rib injury and sat out against Tennessee, is trending in the right direction but could not provide a timeline.

“We’re hoping to get him back. That’s what I can tell you,” Smart said. “Ribs are a painful injury. I don’t know if that’s the exact term, but he does have a rib injury and we hope to get him back.”

No matter how bad both injuries are, it only makes sense for Georgia to sideline both key offensive weapons against the Minutemen this Saturday so they can continue to rest up for Georgia Tech and playoff football in December.
