Both Jordan Addison and Jalen Nailor were limited throughout the week during practice dealing with ankle injuries. Addison suffered his in joint practices against the Cleveland Browns while Nailor did so last week during practice.
Minnesota Vikings final injury report
The Vikings released their final injury report ahead of week one and it looks good.
Both safety Harrison Smith and cornerback Stephon Gilmore sat out practice due to veteran rest days. It's not uncommon to see players get veteran rest days, even early in the season. Because they were rest days, they weren't included in the injury report.
Addison progressed throughout the week and was removed from the injury report. While he will play on Sunday, it's not certain how healthy he is and if the injury will impact his performance.
Nailor being off the injury report is a nice surprise. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said that Nailor was a "couple days behind" Addison in his recovery process. This is great news for the Vikings as they head into week one.
