The Kansas City Chiefs couldn't get through the first quarter of their final preseason game without an injury.

Backup offensive tackle Wanya Morris suffered a knee injury on the opening drive for the Chiefs' offense. As reported by Fox 4 K.C.'s P.J. Green, Morris got his knee checked out on the training table immediately after getting hurt.

The injury occurred on a failed fourth down rushing attempt as a Bears' defender fell on Morris' leg. The Chiefs' television broadcast officially announced that Morris is out for the rest of the game.

The injuries continue to mount for Morris as he missed a significant portion of training camp and the Chiefs' first two preseason games with a bone bruise. At the start of camp, Morris was in a competition with rookie Kingsley Suamataia for the starting left tackle job.

Suamataia quickly ran away with battle, but Morris should be the first man off the bench if either Suamataia or right tackle Jawaan Taylor go down. Morris also played some guard during camp and could fill in there in a pinch. This is all, of course, considering that Morris is healthy.

The severity of Morris' injury is unknown, but it will be a blow to the Chiefs' depth at offensive line if he misses a significant amount of time. Morris started four games at left tackle for K.C. last season and played well for a rookie who was suddenly thrusted into action. Coach Andy Reid should give some clarity to Morris' condition after the game.
