The New Orleans Saints backup QB position battle rages on to finish preseason play. Spencer Rattler is the fan favorite as an exciting rookie with plenty of traits and upside. Jake Haener certainly isn't backing down, though.

In their final preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, Rattler uncorked a perfect touchdown pass to veteran wideout Equanimeous St. Brown.

He absolutely dropped it in a bucket. You cannot make a better throw than this one from the rookie gunslinger. His hype train continues to chug along. Check out this view of the highlight, too.

As for St. Brown, he is also landlocked in a position battle. He's vying for a 53-man roster spot to begin Week 1. Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and Stanley Morgan Jr. are firmly ahead of him. 

He's competing with A.T. Perry, Samson Nacua, Bub Means, and a couple of other pass catchers to complete the WR depth chart. We will see if this grab helps him lock down a spot for New Orleans to begin the regular season.
