The Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) are set to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) in Tuscaloosa, which means they'll be tasked with slowing down true freshman star receiver Ryan Williams.

Head coach Kirby Smart is very familiar with the former five-star recruit as Georgia was once in the mix to land him, but the kid from Mobile, Al chose to play for his hometown team.

Now, Williams is making an immediate impact for the Roll Tide.

Through the first three games of the season, Williams leads Alabama with 10 catches for 285 yards and three touchdowns.

Smart believes Williams is already amongst the best pass catchers to play for the Crimson Tide.

"He's in the same line with the guys they've had in the past," Smart said. "Super quick, talented, confident with the ball, great ball skills, great quickness. He's a track athlete that was elite as a junior, and then he comes out and he's already performing at a high level. I don't think that there's a lot of anxiety or nerves for him. He's not one of these guys that the moment's too big for him. He naturally jumped right in and has made plays in every game. They have a lot of really good skill players out of the perimeter, and I think that Jalen does a good job of using his skillset to get them the ball."

That's a lot of pressure on Williams to live up to Bama legends like Julio Jones and Jaylen Waddle, though he's handling well at just 17 years old.

However, we'll see if he can keep up with the hype surround his name against Georgia's pass defense that currently ranks first in college football and hasn't allowed a single touchdown so far this season.
