The Minnesota Vikings have made a practice squad move for the second consecutive week, this time on the offensive line.
On Tuesday, the Vikings signed offensive lineman Marcellus Johnson and released offensive lineman Ricky Lee III. The Vikings initially signed Lee right after final cutdown day with running back Zavier Scott.
Johnson had an interesting career in college. He played in 44 games at Eastern Michigan before transferring to Missouri for his final season in 2023 where he played in 10 games. Johnson went undrafted in 2024 and signed as a UDFA with the New York Giants.
After playing in all three preseason games, Johnson was among final cuts and signed with the Giants' practice squad. He was released after week one and is now on the Vikings' practice squad.
As of right now, the Vikings have a full 16-player practice squad with a 17th in International Pathway Program tight end Sammis Reyes.
