The Denver Broncos have been really impressive on defense so far this season. Unfortunately, that is where the success has stopped for Denver.

The offense has struggled for most of the season. The analytics show that the two sides of the ball for the Broncos are polar opposites.

On defense, they are a top five unit.

The Broncos' offense is just below league average.

This isn't very surprising, though. The Broncos' secondary has played extremely well, and the pass-rush has come along over the past couple of weeks.

The combination of their offensive and defensive values show that they are a top eight overall team, according to certain analytics.

That really just shows how frustrating this first month has been for the Broncos. It truly feels like the Broncos are so close to being a contender.

They just need to figure out the play-calling and consistency on the offensive side of the football. That's easier said than done, especially for a first-year head coach and a new quarterback.

Regardless, that is why they brought in Nathaniel Hackett and traded for Russell Wilson. They felt like their defense could put them in contention in the AFC, and they just needed a spark on offense.

So far, the Broncos have only gotten that ignition from their defense.
