Chiefs Travis Kelce

On Monday morning, ESPN's Field Yates reported that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce agreed to restructure his contract.

According to Yates, Kelce had his base salary converted into a signing bonus to clear $3.455 million in cap space.

ESPN's Jeff Darlington believes the Chiefs' decision to restructure Kelce's contract just 14 days before the NFL trade deadline sends a signal that Kansas City is looking to make a big move.

“It does make us think that there’s potential that the Chiefs could be gearing up to make a move here," said Darlington on Tuesday. "Could the move be a trade? Perhaps. Or could the move be for Odell Beckham Jr?"

"There’s a lot of whispers around the league right now that he (Beckham) could be starting to look for a potential landing spot," added Darlington.

OBJ is recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in the Los Angeles Rams' win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. Beckham landed with the Rams last season after being released by the Cleveland Browns.

Beckham had 25 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns in the playoffs last season.

The former LSU standout turns 30 on November 5. He showed during his time with the Rams late last season that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank. And if he gets paired with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, we could see Beckham at his best in Kansas City.

That's if, of course, the Chiefs are truly interested in making a run at the dynamic wide receiver.
