National media outlet leaves no doubt how they feel about the Chiefs the rest of the season

During the summer, it seemed like nearly every national media outlet had a funeral for the Kansas City Chiefs.
All the talk was about how Kansas City was going to struggle without wide receiver Tyreek Hill (traded to the Miami Dolphins) while the other teams in the AFC West all improved their rosters.
Four weeks into the season and the tone has dramatically changed.
As most Chiefs fans expected, Kansas City once again looks like the best team in the AFC.
And those same national media outlets — CBS Sports, specifically — are back to admitting that the Chiefs are the best team in the conference.

No contest here. Kansas City dismantled a Tampa Bay defense that shut down its competition all season, using Patrick Mahomes and his brilliance to score 41 points off the Buccaneers. The Chiefs thought Tampa Bay had the best defense in the league, yet ran for 189 yards and Mahomes was hit only six times.
The Chiefs lost last week to the Colts because of mistakes, uncharacteristic of an Andy Reid team. The Buffalo Bills are definitely in this conversation, but the Chiefs have Mahomes and Reid. That puts Kansas City over the edge.
It's Kansas City, Buffalo — then everyone else.
Chiefs fans knew this would be the case. As long as Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are in town, then Kansas City is going to be home to the most dynamic offense in the NFL.
I know some of the national media outlets like to get cute with their picks — everyone wants to be unique — but it seems silly to ever bet against Mahomes and the Chiefs.
