It’s been a season to remember for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Though an injury is keeping him out of Christmas Eve’s meeting with the Dallas Cowboys, Hurts won big after a recent announcement.

Hurts was named to his first career Pro Bowl on Wednesday. It was a well-deserved honor as Hurts has led the Eagles to the top record in football all while vaulting himself to the forefront of the MVP conversation.

As if Hurts’ Pro Bowl nod wasn’t spectacular enough, the Eagles’ third-year quarterback cashed in in a major way.

Since Hurts made the Pro Bowl, he’s up for a Level Three Proven Performance Escalator, per Over the Cap. This means that his salary will receive a bump in pay from just north of the $1.3 million he was due in 2023 to a little more than $4.3 million.

To put it simply, Hurts will net what amounts to a bonus of almost $3 million for this individual accolade.

Based off of what we know about Hurts’ pay increase, Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson should have a smile plastered across his face.

Like Hurts, Dickerson was also named to the NFL’s inaugural Pro Bowl Games. Dickerson’s first Pro Bowl nod enables him to receive a spike in pay in the 2024 season.

Christmas came early for two Eagles, who have risen to the occasion on a consistent basis throughout the year. It’s always satisfying to see those who work hard get the proper acknowledgement from league circles.
