The New Orleans Saints will look to continue their strong play next weekend against the Baltimore Ravens.

Unfortunately for them, the Ravens just got a massive upgrade for their defense.

They just made a deal to acquire star linebacker Roquan Smith from the Chicago Bears.

Accordingly, the Saints' offense will have to deal with one of the best linebackers in the league in some capacity in Week 9.

Before this move, the Ravens' linebackers were the biggest weakness on their defense. That wasn't debatable, so the improvement will be clear.

Smith will most likely draw the task of making many plays on Saints' running back Alvin Kamara.

It is unclear how much Smith will play against the Saints, though. With a week to prepare, he could play a bulk of the snaps for a defense that needs his talent badly.

On the other hand, the Ravens' defensive scheme is one of the more difficult ones to adapt to for a defender.

Smith is an impressive, productive player that can handle it in time. Don't be surprised if you hear his name some in their matchups with the Saints.

Hopefully, the Saints will prepare for the addition of Smith this week in order to attack the Baltimore defense in other places.
