The Denver Broncos defense is a very special unit.
Top to bottom, they are one of the best defenses in the entire NFL. Unfortunately, their pass rushing/linebacker core took a hit on Sunday.
Young impressive defender Baron Browning will miss some time due to a hip injury.
The timing of an injury like this one is never good. For Browning and the Broncos, it is very unfortunate because he was coming along nicely.
Losing him for around a month when his development was flourishing is certainly frustrating.
Just last week, Browning had a sack, interception, and a fumble forced all in the same game.
He was making impact plays, so the Broncos will have to replace some of his production. Expect rookie Nik Bonitto to get more reps in his place while Browning is out.
Browning's speed and athleticism will be what the Broncos miss the most without him. The former Ohio State defender has been vital to a rotation alongside other very talented players.
Bradley Chubb and Dre'Mont Jones will need to continue their strong play while Browning misses time. For a roster that has suffered big injuries this season, it is tough to see Browning injured.
Hopefully, his recovery goes smoothly, and he can return in just a few weeks.
