The Denver Broncos could have a story set up for revenge a couple times this season.
They released veteran running back Melvin Gordon earlier this year. Now, he is joining a division rival. The Kansas City Chiefs are signing Gordon to their practice squad.
They have been looking for some depth at running back.
Don't forget that Gordon also played for the Chargers earlier in his career.
For Denver, the Broncos will face the Chiefs two times in the regular season. Gordon could play a role in those games.
The veteran RB was inconsistent during his time with the Broncos. Fumbles were an issue. You could argue that they costed the Broncos big time on multiple occasions.
At times, he was a very solid runner for Denver, though.
It will be interesting to see what role he plays for the Chiefs for the rest of the year.
The Broncos may have some extra motivation for their matchups against KC now. Gordon certainly will.
