The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of, if not the most, dominant teams over the last four or five years. In that span, they have easily been the most successful, with four AFC Championship appearances and two Super Bowl appearances, with one Super Bowl ring.

This year, it is looking like they could be on track to be that dominant team we all know and love. The Chiefs dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football, and that alone helped their case.

However, with a team and franchise like this, comes being humble and keeping your egos in check. That is exactly what head coach Andy Reid is doing.

“Yeah so, I think we need to keep growing there," Reid said when asked about the offense. "I think the thing that makes me most excited is the influx of young guys that we’ve got and those guys having an opportunity to grow and get better. And so, you can see down – listen, if you guys keep working and do it day in and day out, you work then you have a chance to be something special.

"But if you’re – you have to stay in that frame of mind. If you start getting caught up in all the outside noise, then you’re going to plateau and you can’t do that. You can’t do that in this league or you get skunked. So, we just got to keep growing and (the) young guys(have to) keep getting better."

The Chiefs have the right mindset. You have to stay humble, and you have to know that there is always room for improvement, even when you are the best team in the league.

The Chiefs are doing just that. Why do you think their offense is so different this year and is just now showing flashes of greatness? It's because it's new, so there is room for improvement.

Last game Mahomes showed improvement as well. Instead of taking the deep shots down the field, he was efficient in the fact that he found whoever was open, no matter what player it was.

They used eight different receivers in the passing game on Sunday. They also ran the ball more effectively than any other game this season so far.

You love hearing coach Reid keeping the teams' egos in check because it's very easy to let that get the best of you. The Chiefs have been to the top before and have been on both sides of it, so they know all too well.

This year, we could see them right back there.
