The trade deadline is approaching, as November 2nd gets closer and closer. The Las Vegas Raiders sit at 2-4 on the year, but they may be wanting to make some moves to help them this year. So far, they have made a move to help them in the future.
On Tuesday, the las Vegas Raiders traded away backup defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins to the Dallas Cowboys, and a 2024 seventh-round pick for a 2023 sixth-round pick.
Hankins is a 10-year veteran who will help the Cowboys' depth up front on the defensive line. In 2014 he finished with seven sacks. He hasn't had more than three in a season since but has shown flashes of defensive dominance up front.
As for the Raiders, they are getting back a sixth-round pick in 2023. A lot of fans may be upset by that, but let's use the division rival Chiefs as an example. They have a seventh-round rookie running back starting for them in Pacheco, and a seventh-round rookie cornerback starting for them, and both are playing very good football.
These picks are more valuable than you may think.
Look for the Raiders to potentially make more moves at the deadline.
