For the New Orleans Saints, there have been three massive issues holding them back this season. Injuries, turnovers, and penalties have been the Saints' achilles heel in 2022.

Now, one of their NFC South rivals are getting bit by those issues.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dealt with some important injuries this season, especially on their offensive line and secondary. Today's struggles in their loss to the Bengals were mostly because of the other two factors, though.

Tampa Bay had costly turnovers, and penalties began to pile up for them.

Tom Brady had FOUR turnovers today against Cincinnati. The Bucs had seven penalties for 58 yards. Those two statistics are what turned the tides and caused them to take a loss.

The Saints, on the other hand, took care of the ball and avoided penalties for the most part. Their only turnover was a fumble by David Johnson. That hasn't been the norm this season, but it was definitely a positive in Week 15.

For now, the Bucs feel the pain that the Saints have felt all year. Nothing seems to be going in their favor since their comeback win against New Orleans.

That game now looms extremely large as the division race heats up in the final month of the season.
