Once more, the health of the Buffalo Bills has been at the forefront of every storyline surrounding the team. This week, they'll face the 7-1 Minnesota Vikings shorthanded. That includes quarterback Josh Allen, whose status remains questionable and could likely be a game-time decision.

The Allen conversation has reached peak speculation after a viral video of the quarterback running into the tunnel was posted on social media. Whether it's a genius play by HC Sean McDermott or Allen was truly practicing is unknown.

All the drama surrounding Allen has taken much of the attention off of the return of linebacker Matt Milano. It's not only a colossal development for the Bills' defense but a timely one.

While the Vikings have a record that doesn't fit their 18th ranking in overall efficiency (per DVOA), they do have a great rushing attack. Their yards per attempt might not reflect it, but it's a team that ranks as the eighth-best in efficiency.

The Bills will face a physical attack from the Vikings. They have one of the strongest run-blocking units in the NFL. Pro Football Focus has them as the fourth-best OL in the NFL.

But the Vikings' offense is also efficient because of its variety, as it will run all sorts of runs and counters. On top of that, Kirk Cousins will hurt you with play-action in timely spots.

Facing such a rushing attack is particularly concerning after the Bills' recent struggles against the run. Over their last three games, they've allowed 5.4 yards per carry (sixth most in the NFL).

But having Milano back in the lineup will go a long way. Along with Tremaine Edmunds, Milano has led one of the best linebacker duos in the league this season. That wouldn't be possible without the defensive tackles the team has up front and their work in the trenches occupying blockers but Milano is the piece the team has been missing the last few weeks.

The Bills couldn't have asked for better timing for his return. If they can take out the Vikings' one true strength, whether Josh Allen plays or not might turn out to be irrelevant.
