The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons are certainly rivals.
That being said, neither one of them want to see anyone on either side get injured. Before their matchup today, an accident caused an injury to an unsuspecting person.
Falcons' defensive coordinator Dean Pees got ran into by a Saints' player.
The Saints' player was returning punts when the collision occurred.
There was definitely no intent, and it was a scary situation for all. The Falcons announced shortly after the accident that Pees was transported to a local hospital.
It's great news that he's in stable condition. Pees is 73 years old.
Hopefully, he'll be able to return to the sideline for the Falcons sooner rather than later.
