The Denver Broncos have a huge issue within their offense that isn’t be talked about enough.
We all know how bad it is, where it may rank at the bottom or near the bottom of the league, but there is more than one reason why the offense is so bad. The Broncos are doing a few things wrong on that side of the ball, and after looking deeper into it, it’s bad.
It starts with the third quarter offense. What the Broncos have been doing on that side of the ball in the third quarter is truly unacceptable.
“Yeah, we have to come out and have a better third quarter,” Russell Wilson said. “Our third quarters have been I think part of why we are where we are. Not even a part of it, a big part of it. I think we have had pretty good first half’s for the most part, decent, and some better than others.
The Broncos’ offense has been putrid in the the quarter, and that could be a large reason why the offense as a whole doesn’t look good.
They aren’t coming out of the half strong. Even last week against the Raiders. They got the ball back to start the second half after some very good drives, and didn’t score a single point in the third quarter.
“The third quarter has slowed us down tremendously. That’s something that I’m really focused on over the next few days and obviously going into this game and the rest of the games this year. And hopefully we can turn it around.”
The Broncos have scored 12 points in the third quarter this whole year. That’s not good, at all. To make matters even worse, they have scored one touchdown in the third quarter this season, and it was against the Jaguars in a win.
Their first third quarter points of the year were in Week 3 against the 49ers, as they got a safety. Then against the Chargers they scored a field goal. That’s it. That is all of their points scored in the third quarter this year.
The Broncos have to get the fixed. I think it’s one of, if not their biggest issue this year on that side of the ball.
