Broncos' star was nearly speechless after loss to Chargers

The Denver Broncos just lost about as gut-wrenching a loss as you possibly can. What makes it, even more, crazier, is we said the exact same thing after their last loss on Thursday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts.
This one was a bit different, though. The Broncos had 10 days to fix things, but it didn't look any better after the first half. Right when it looked like the offense had a chance to put the game away, the special teams gave it away, which absolutely killed the spirit of the team after the game.
Star safety Justin Simmons was asked about it after the game, and it seemed like he was having trouble trying to put words together to find a way to describe it.
"You know at the end of the day it just wasn't good enough," Simmons said. "I think we have to find a way to win. I said earlier in the week it was a must-win. you know there right before overtime started we got together and just hit home one more time and said we have to win this. I don't know. I don't know. We just have to find a way to win."
Then, Simmons was asked what he told the team before overtime started.
"We have to win this. Like, everything that happened beforehand doesn't matter," Simmons replied. "Penalties missed opportunities. Um, it didn't matter, um, what mattered was finding a way to win, and we had chances but, I mean those don't matter because we didn't capitalize, so, um, we just have to find a way to turn this thing around."
The Broncos have to be feeling this one more than any other loss they have had this season, as they should. This one was tough, as there were flashes of greatness on both sides, but it slipped out of their hands.
