The Las Vegas Raiders are getting better. Derek Carr is getting better. Both of these are so noticeable, and key to the Raiders ' three-game win streak. There is one big reason why, though. It has to be talked about too, because of some of the things that were said not too long ago about the coaching.

This offense is becoming what we thought it would in the offseason. All summer long there was the hype that the Carr-Adam connection would be one of the best in the NFL. Then, adding in Renfrow, Waller, and a running back like Jacobs, I'm sure sold everyone.

But the start was disappointing, as we know. While there is still a big chance the Raiders don't make the playoffs, at least they are fun to watch right now.

The last three weeks have been the most fun this team has been all season long. A big reason why is because of Derek Carr, and the way this offense has improved.

“I think we're just executing better," Carr said Tuesday. "I think that the offense, we're running it smoother. I think that as a unit, we're better because it's more time on task. And so, those are the expectations for us always. And it's hard to do that right off the jump, especially learning something new.

"It's different than anything I've learned before, but once you get a feel for it, you play football and you start to put your spin on it and you play football, and then those kinds of things can happen. But the most important thing is that we win because when we win all that other stuff takes care of itself.”

Execution is key there. I mean, let's be honest. I think some people are going to start admitting they were wrong soon. Josh McDaniels was right. He kept preaching it was about execution, and that this offense wasn't easy to learn. I'm not going to lie either, I was one of the people that thought he should be gone.

But, I think that opinion is starting to change.

Here were are though, 13 weeks into the season and the Raiders are catching on because they are executing. Derek Carr looks better because of execution. All of these things are starting to work because of repetition and execution.

The Raiders may be late to the party, but you know the old saying. It's better late than never. This team is fun to watch right now, and it's because the offense is flowing.

Maybe Mark Davis was right, too. I mean, things are looking up from here.
