The New Orleans Saints former quarterback, and legend, among many other things, recently made headlines for something we did not expect.
No, he wasn't struck by lightning for real this time. Instead, it is much better news, that I think will benefit him.
We all know about Drew Brees past before his NFL playing career. He was a college quarterback for the university of Purdue where he is the all-time passing yards leader and the all-time passing touchdowns leader.
Now, he has decided to return to Purdue, but this time to start what looks like it could be his coaching career.
According to Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated, Drew Brees is being hired as an interim assistant coach at Purdue.
This could be the start of his coaching career, or this very well could be him helping out his alma mater. Either way, it will be interesting to see how he does in his coaching career.
