The Denver Broncos are haunted by a certain ghost this season.

That ghoul would be injuries. They've been one of the most injured teams since the start of the season. The hits just keep coming.

Now, they just lost one of their brightest spots on defense this season. The Broncos' defensive line has had to have depth players step up. They'll need even more of that.

The Broncos just placed starting DL Dre'Mont Jones on season-ending injured reserve. His solid campaign is over, sadly.

Jones is a young, dynamic player that shows plenty of versatility. He's played defensive end asa well as interior defensive lineman in Denver.

Injuries have ran through parts of the Broncos' defensive line, and Jones simply could not avoid it. Next year should be another impressive year for Jones as Denver's young players on defense continue to develop, though. His future is really bright.

Jones has 18.5 sacks over the past three seasons. Consistency has been his greatest benefactor for the Broncos so far.

Hopefully, that will continue. Unfortunately, it won't be this season.

For the Broncos, it feels like they cannot escape any game without an impactful injury. Every team deals with injuries, but this extent for Denver is unique in the worst way.
