Saints' wide receiver Michael Thomas started off the season pretty strong. In the first three weeks, he had 16 catches for 171 yards and three touchdowns.
Unfortunately, he suffered a toe injury in week 3. He has not played since.
That has been a bit surprising based on Dennis Allen's comments every week. The Saints' head coach has consistently said that their star wideout is progressing, but he continues to be ruled out early into the weekend.
Dennis Allen had more comments today that cleared up the situation.
This means that the Saints prepared for Thomas to be out 3-4 weeks, regardless of his previous comments.
His lack of a return has not come as a shocker to the Saints. Although, fans have been very confused by the situation because they have felt that his return has been delayed too long.
If all goes well, it sounds like Thomas and Chris Olave could return this week for the Saints. They need both of them healthy.
