Broncos, Chiefs, flexed

Fans of the Denver Broncos may be extremely happy with a huge decision recently made by the NFL, for a few reasons.

If you have been paying attention to the news league-wide, a few weeks ago the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers were scheduled to play at the 11 AM slot, for those of you in local Denver time.

The game was then moved, or flexed, into the Sunday Night Football primetime spot at 6:20 PM.

The NFL does that sometimes, especially when they see one game has more significance in terms of playoff standings than another does. Sometimes, if it will be a better show, they will do that too.

That happened to the Denver Broncos and their upcoming Sunday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs for Week 14. Instead, the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers will play in that spot.

This is a move I think a lot of Broncos fans will love, for a few reasons.

First, the fans will not have to watch their team be embarrassed by the Chiefs on prime-time TV, where everyone will be watching.

The Chiefs are probably the best team in the league this year, and will likely demolish a bad Broncos team. That would just make for more memes.

Secondly, the Broncos are 1-3 in prime-time games this year, averaging under 13 points a game in those games. I think the fans would rather watch them earlier in the day and not go to bed angry after the game.
