The Kansas City Chiefs have made a living of coming back in games and winning after trailing by large margins. Just think back to the Super Bowl year in 2019 when they won it all. Every game and I mean every single one, was a comeback win.

The first game against the Houston Texans is the best example. The Texans were up 24-0, but somehow the Chiefs ended up winning by 20, with the final score of 51-31.

The second game against the Tennessee Titans was kind of the same. The Titans were up 17-7 and lost to Kansas City 35-24. The Super Bowl was also the same, as the Chiefs were down 20-10, and we definitely all know how that went.

There is just something about this team and comeback victories. It's what they do. In fact, it is literally what Patrick Mahomes does. There is a new stat that emerged that only further proves he is the greatest comeback in the history of the league when it comes to leading his team back from deficits.

Don't believe me? Take a look at this.

Patrick Mahomes' career win percentage when trailing by double figures is .591, which is the highest of all time. that is for quarterbacks with at least 20 starts, of course. The second highest is Tom Brady, who is at .379. Third is Joe Montana, who is at .371.

Yeah of course Mahomes hasn't played as many games as those two, but this stat is still impressive.

And on Sunday, Mahomes just added to that percentage even more, as he was down by 10 to the San Francisco 49ers, but ended up winning by 20 points. Mahomes is playing at another level right now, where he looks like the best quarterback in the NFL, again. Wins like these, and stats like these will only help his case.
