Urban Meyer is definitely in over his head.

The former Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes head coach decided to try his approach in the NFL, taking over as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars after the 2020 season.

Things aren't exactly going well so far.

The Jaguars are 0-2. And earlier this month, CBS Sports reported that Meyer is rubbing people the wrong way in Jacksonville.

On Wednesday, we received more evidence that the Meyer/NFL experiment could have a bad ending.

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio told reporters that Meyer expressed some frustration after their week two matchup.

According to Fangio, Meyer said that the NFL is like playing Alabama every week.

Meyer is correct — any team can beat any team in the NFL on any given Sunday.

But the fact that Meyer is just now learning this probably isn't a good sign. It sounds like he thought his transition to the NFL would be much easier.

Once again we are learning that just because a coach is elite at the college level, doesn't mean that it will translate to the next level.

Meyer is going down the same road that's already been traveled by Steve Spurrier, Nick Saban, Butch Davis, Chip Kelly, and Bobby Petrino.

It's hard to imagine Meyer's journey turning out much differently than those who have tried and failed before him.
