The Tennessee Titans will face the Houston Texans in an AFC South showdown in Week 8. It sounds like the Titans could be without their starting quarterback.

According Tom Pelissero, Tennessee may have to turn to rookie QB Malik Willis tomorrow.

Ryan Tannehill is dealing with multiple ailments, an ankle injury as well as an illness. That would allow Willis to get his first regular season NFL start.

For Willis, it will be his first opportunity to fully showcase his talent in a meaningful game.

He saw plenty of action in the preseason, but the regular season in the NFL is a different type of beast.

That being said, the matchup is a great one for Willis and the Titans. The Texans have been one of the worst defenses this season.

Houston has allowed 411.8 yards per game. That's the second-worst mark in the NFL.

Expect the Titans to play even more conservatively than normal. Star running back Derrick Henry may get nearly thirty touches.

The Titans will likely try to play it as safe as possible with a very inexperienced, but talented, young QB running the offense.

Tennessee has most likely prepared this week as this was always a possibility after Tannehill suffered his ankle sprain last week against the Colts.
