Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons has a little less cash in his bank account this week after playing the Cincinnati Bengals last weekend.
According to The Athletic's Jay Morrison, Simmons was fined $11,139 for hitting/shoving Bengals offensive lineman Ted Karras at the end of the Titans' 20-16 loss to the Bengals.
Here's video of the play that resulted in Simmons getting fined.
Immediately after the game, Karras was fired up and was screaming at Titans fans like a WWE wrestler. The hit from Simmons might have been the reason for his outburst.

Simmons is a competitor. He was frustrated in the moment that Tennessee lost the game. That doesn't excuse it, but it's something we see often in the NFL.
The Titans and Simmons will undoubtedly be hoping for another shot at the Bengals in the playoffs. And thanks to what went down between Simmons/Karras this past week, I'd expect a chippy game if the two franchises get that rematch in the postseason.
