The Cincinnati Bengals dodged a potential disaster against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow saw his afternoon get off to a tough start. After getting sacked, Burrow threw a pick-six to Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
That part was bad. But what was worse was the dirty hit from Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt on Burrow.
Burrow tried to pursue Fitzpatrick, but he was laid out by Watt — even though Burrow wasn't that close to the play.
That was clearly not necessary by Watt. He just saw a chance to lay out Burrow — and maybe injure him — and he took it.
Fortunately for the Bengals, Burrow jumped right up after the hit.
