The Tennessee Titans have their doubters annually in the national media. Almost every team in the NFL does. Adam Rank of NFL.com has been lower on the Titans than many others in the industry in the past. In 2019, Rank predicted the Titans to go a measly 3-13. Tennessee went 9-7. Fans have noticed over the years that Rank usually doesn't believe too much in the two-tone blue.

That has changed here in 2022, though. He is showing some faith in Tennessee.

Rank believes that the Titans should not be overlooked this season. He predicted that they will go 10-7, a very respectable projection.

What does he think "success" means for the Titans this season?

Make a serious playoff run. Tennessee has been knocking on the door in recent years. To some, it might seem like the window of opportunity has closed, considering all of the earth-shattering moves across the AFC this offseason. But I feel like it would be a huge mistake to overlook the Titans. King Henry is back. They've made moves to get a bit younger in some key spots. And overall, I think this is still a good, competitive roster with a stellar head coach driving the ship. I still consider Tennessee the team to beat in the AFC South.

Y'all may want to close your ears for this. He's correct. Many Titans fans would agree as well because Tennessee has been on the brink for nearly half of a decade. They need to make a serious push in order to have a positive takeaway from this season.

The AFC is extremely competitive and crowded. The Titans are in arguably the easiest division of the four in the conference. They have to take advantage of that to have a shot at making the run that Rank believes that they need. That would be a big step in their success.

So, Titans fans, y'all can put the claws away when it comes to Rank and his opinions on your favorite team – for now.
