Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Velus Jones Jr was known in college for having elite speed.

On Thursday night, Jones proved that his speed translates to the NFL.

Jones, who was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, showed off his wheels against the Seattle Seahawks with a 48-yard punt return in the first quarter.

Check it out:

Jones did everything right on that play. If he gets a block from his teammate, Joe Thomas, that would've easily been a touchdown.

I'm sure Chicago's coaches noticed. And I'm also sure they'll be looking for creative ways to get Jones the ball in space this season.

The former Vols standout is going to be a hard man to catch this season.
