With what happened this last week in the NFL for the Las Vegas Raiders, a lot of fans are calling for change. Well, a lot of fans have been calling for change now. And, who can blame them?
Things are starting to cripple. The offense is consistently blowing leads. The defense can't stop the run. There are just so many things wrong. However, the main thing is the offense.
There needs to be change, and I think the chances of change are rising.
"I mean, look, we’re going to try to address and figure out what do we need to do to shift the results, and some of those things might be very minor," McDaniels said. "Look, you change the result of four plays yesterday, it probably changes the game, and that's how every game is when it's that tight. I definitely am not going to go in there and panic and say we need to uproot everything we've done. That's not really the right thing to do. There’s things we're doing very well, there's things that we need to do better.
"And I think for us to try to figure out what those are and then address them and address them in the right way. The truth is what's important and if there's something we can do better with the scheme that we're using or the players that we're using with them, then we'll try to do that. If there's something that needs to change, whether schematically or put different people in different personnel groupings or what have you to make it go a little better for us, then we'll have to try and take a look at that too."
I'll say this. There can't keep being games where a few plays change the game. Let me rephrase that because there can be games like that.
There can't be games where you have a significant lead and blow it, then say if a few plays go their way, they win that game. But the plays were going their way the whole first half, which is why they had a 17-point lead.
You cannot keep blowing leads, three that have been at least 17-point games, and blame it on a few plays not going your way. I know this is the NFL, and a few plays can change a game, but a few plays don't blow a 17-point lead.
There needs to be some type of change because they are now in Week 10, and this obviously isn't working.
