Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is having his name thrown around with some of the NFL’s best current players for this season’s MVP award. However, after the Eagles’ (6-0) scorching hot start, Hurts’ performance through six games is on par with some of the best quarterbacks of all time.

Hurts has done damage to defenses through the air and on the ground. He has passed for six touchdowns, throwing just two interceptions on the season.

Not only has he been tearing apart secondaries with his arm, ranking seventh in the league in passing yards, but he’s added six rushing touchdowns as well. In fact, Hurts ranks second in the NFL in rushing touchdowns, just one score behind Browns RB Nick Chubb.

Only four quarterbacks in the history of the NFL have led their team to a 6-0 start while totaling at least 12 touchdowns compared to just two giveaways, or fewer.

The other three are:

Tom Brady (2015)

Brett Favre (2009)

Peyton Manning (2006)

Though Manning’s Colts were the only team to go on and win the Super Bowl, Favre’s Vikings and Brady’s Patriots each made it to their respective conference’s championship game.

Though this statistic doesn’t come with any guarantees, it sure is exciting for Eagles fans to see Hurts’ name up there with some of the all-time greats.
