The Denver Broncos are not a good football team and I think all of Broncos Country is ready for the next season to start. However, if they could beat the Chiefs this Sunday, it may just make the fans' season even better.
Making their season even better won't be very hard, though, if we are being honest.
The Chiefs have now beaten the Broncos 13 straight times, which is the second-longest win streak over a division opponent in NFL history. The Broncos can do a few things on Sunday to make their fans feel a bit better.
Now, no, I'm not asking them to play spoiler and beat the Chiefs, because that just isn't fair on them. They could barely beat the Texans, so let's not get too carried away.
However, if they did beat the Chiefs, I'm sure fans in Broncos Country would go ballistic. That would essentially be their Super Bowl for the 2022 season.
That's not what I, nor the fans are asking for though, because we know how insane that would be. I believe that we are asking for the Broncos to at least keep it a close game, similar to how all of their games have been this year.
I think that if the Broncos can keep this game super close, then the fans will be pleased. They will have an opportunity to look at their team as, okay, the defense is perfect. It can stop and contain the best offense in the league. Now, the offense just needs to be fixed.
The Broncos have lost by more than 10 points once this year, and that just so happened to come at the hands of the Carolina Panthers. If they keep this game with the Chiefs within reach, I think fans will be pleased, especially with all the bad from this season.
