The Russell Wilson era in Denver hasn't gotten off to an ideal start. The Broncos' offense has scuffled, and Wilson is off to one of his worst starts of his career.

His former head coach, Pete Carroll, threw some shade at Wilson this week.

It was indirect, but his intentions were pretty clear regarding the Broncos' quarterback.

At this point, the comments from Carroll are pretty meaningless. He is coaching a surprising Seahawks team, and Russ is out of the building.

That being said, he isn't the first Seahawks' personnel to send some disrespect towards Wilson.

Former teammate Richard Sherman has thrown shade at Wilson this season as well as Doug Baldwin and Marshawn Lynch.

They have all had different experiences with Wilson, and they have unloaded their grievances.

The media asked Wilson about Carroll's comment earlier today. The Broncos' quarterback had a pretty solid response.

He isn't wrong, either. Even with their disagreements, Wilson and Carroll enjoyed plenty of success in Seattle.

Carroll is taking advantage of his recent success with Wilson's replacement, though.

Geno Smith has been playing some great ball with the wristband on.

Regardless, the Broncos need Wilson to step up for them now.
