The New Orleans Saints made a massive decision on Wednesday. They announced their starting quarterback for this week's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Once again, Andy Dalton will get the start for the Saints.

The choice comes as a purely "offensive decision" according to head coach Dennis Allen.

He says that Jameis Winston is healthy, but they are rolling with Dalton. As of right now, they believe that Dalton gives the Saints the best chance to win.

To their credit, the offense has been more productive in the past handful of weeks with him at the helm. It hasn't always been smooth, but they have put up points. The red-zone offense must improve with Dalton under center, though.

The Raiders have been a shaky defense all season, so the Saints need to take advantage of that this week.

For Winston, it is a bit of a blow to his season and future with the Saints.

It sounds like he may not be 100% but is healthy enough to be the starter.

New Orleans is just choosing a different route right now. Only time will tell how it works out.
