The injury bug continues to bite the New Orleans Saints.

After losing rookie offensive tackle Trevor Penning and offensive guard Andrus Peat earlier in the year, Erik McCoy joins that group.

The Saints placed McCoy on injured reserve with a calf injury today.

That means that McCoy will have to miss at least the next four weeks.

Expect Cesar Ruiz to slide over to center. Calvin Throckmorton will start at guard in place of Ruiz.

The other guard spot will be manned by Lewis Kidd, Landon Young, or Josh Andrews. None of which have played much at all this season.

Cesar Ruiz is the only remaining starter still healthy on the interior offensive line for the Saints.

Now, he is playing at center rather than guard. He's had more success at guard so far in his career, especially this season.

He has developed into a very solid guard for the Saints, but they'll need him to step up at center now.

It is another tough blow for the Saints. They need a win especially badly against a banged-up Steelers' squad this week.
