The Denver Broncos lost in rather embarrassing fashion on Monday night to the Seattle Seahawks. Despite nearly doubling Seattle in yards, they still fell to Russell Wilson's former team. In the final couple of minutes, Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett badly mismanaged the clock. That caused the Broncos to attempt a 64-yard field goal on 4th & 5 to win the game. Unsurprisingly, they missed the kick. Now, Hackett says that he made the wrong decision.

It was a move that did the opposite of instilling confidence in his new star QB. Instead, Hackett let the clock bleed and took the Broncos' offense off of the field. Social media erupted at the decision – for good reason.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson showed confidence in Hackett's choice after the game, but he just said what he had to say.

He needed to support his new coach, even if he disagreed with the decision.

The likelihood that they hit that kick to win the game was incredibly low, and Hackett seemingly understands that now. Regardless, it was a very rough first big decision for the new head coach for the Broncos.
