Two former starters highlight list of Chiefs that must ball out vs. Packers if they want to make the team

The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers are playing their third and final preseason game of the year on Thursday. In that game, we likely won't see many starters, and if we do, we won't see them play much.
This is the last chance for some of the guys that may be on the outside of the roster bubble, looking in, to make some plays and prove they belong there.
So here are three players that need to impress on Thursday against the Packers.
RB Ronald Jones II
When the Chiefs signed Jones, everyone instantly thought that the Chiefs had their backup running back, and they do. It's just not Jones.
Somehow, Jones has quickly fallen down the depth chart. He started by getting some reps with the first team in practice, but the majority of snaps were with the second team. Next thing you know, rookie running back Isiah Pacheco and Derrick Gore both surpassed him on the depth chart.
When you add Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerrick McKinnon into mix, it's clear Jones is currently the odd man out.
Gore was recently placed on IR due to a broken thumb, which is one less player Jones has to worry about, but it's likely the Chiefs carry just three running backs when considering fullback Michael Burton is likely to make the roster.
Either way, Jones needs to have a big night against the Packers.
WR Josh Gordon
Gordon finished his disciplinary actions last season and immediately joined the Chiefs. He was once a dominant force in the league, but struggled with off-field issues and has been in and out of the league since 2013. Gordon has all the talent and the size, but something else just isn't there.
Gordon has to feel the pressure as he is now way down the depth chart. If he can go out on Thursday and put on a show, it may still give him a chance to secure a roster spot.
As of right now, Daurice Fountain and Justin Watson are both ahead of him. It's not looking like Watson is going anywhere, either. Gordon must step it up.
CB Nazeeh Johnson
It's already hard enough for a seventh-rounder to make a 53-man roster. It's even harder when said seventh-rounder is part of a draft class that includes three cornerbacks taken in front of him.
That's the exact case with Johnson. Trent McDuffie, Joshua Williams, and Jaylen Watson were all taken in front of him and all three should make the final 53. When you include incumbent starters L'Jarius Sneed and Rashad Fenton, as well as special teams ace Chris Lammons, it's easy to see why Johnson is on the outside looking in.
It remains to be seen how many chances Johnson will have to show his skills on Thursday night. He played 27 snaps against the Chicago Bears in Week 1, but just 15 in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders.
The Chiefs will probably be able to stash Johnson on the practice squad after final roster cuts, so his career as a Chief is far from over. But, if he wants to avoid that and make the 53, he's going to have to show a giant jump against the Packers.
