The Kansas City Chiefs have some young guys are their team that play quality minutes. They have rookies that play quality snaps because they believe in those guys. So, for anyone who was questioning the decision to put rookie cornerback Joshua Williams on Stefon Diggs, the Chiefs had faith in him.

Did it work? Of course, not. I mean, I think we knew it wouldn't work. Diggs is a top-five receiver in the league and Williams has most likely never covered anyone like him before. But, the team had faith, and the guys around him didn't let Williams get his head down.

"I just tell them, 'just go out there and play like you did in training camp,' again, I give them [Bills] all the respect, but we have those type of caliber of players on our offense as well," Nick Bolton said when asked how he keeps the rookies' heads up during a game. "We do that day in and day out, in training camp, and we push each other every single day to get better. I tell them to play within themselves, play confident, and play with that little swagger that they got, and they have slowly been growing and getting better each day."

Bolton is the leader we never knew he could be when he was drafted out of Mizzou. He always looked like the quite soft-spoken guy, but it seems like his getting the green dot has made him quite the opposite.

For him to tell Williams that after time and time again after getting beat by Diggs, has to help the chemistry of the defense. Not only that but knowing that this game would only make Williams better in the future.

Bolton has become a great leader, and you can see it during the games. Sometimes he will go over to a player and let them know what could have been different, and things like that. that's what you love to see from a player who is in his second year and already wearing the green dot.
