The Denver Broncos have an important preseason game coming up. Yes, you read that right, an important preseason game.
This game has more meaning to it than you may think for one main reason. No, it isn't because it's Von Miller's first game playing the Broncos since leaving them.
It isn't like any other preseason game in the fact that the Buffalo Bills are doing something completely different than what the Broncos are doing. The Bills will definitely have an advantage in this game, but that should only motivate the Broncos.
Broncos playing backups, Bills playing some starters
The Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has already stated that they will be playing some of their starters on Saturday.
“I’m not gonna get into how much they’ll play. I would just say the starters will play a healthy amount,” McDermott told the reporters.
As for their franchise quarterback Josh Allen, the reports are that he will be playing as well.
“At the end of the day, it’s football. I love going out there and playing, so I don’t know if it’s game two, game three, no games, I’m getting ready for the season opener,” said Allen. “Whatever coach says is what I’m willing to do and we’ll go from there.”
The Broncos will need to be ready for anything.
As for who the Broncos will play, well, their backups will get all the work. This will be a great test for them to show all the work they have put in, and why they deserve a spot on the roster.
It won't be easy, but I have faith that even the backups can work. This will also help build the depth that the Broncos will need during the season, which is why this game is more important than you may think.
