A former Broncos' fan favorite at running back has gotten another shot with an AFC foe. Phillip Lindsay is signing with the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad. Lindsay was a victim of roster cutdowns, but the Colts wanted to keep him close to the team for depth.

It is a bit surprising to see that Lindsay is not on an active roster currently. Only 28, he could certainly still have some left in the tank for his career. His career started off with a bang for the Broncos.

Lindsay broke out onto the NFL scene as a rookie for the Broncos in 2018. He ran for 1027 yards and nine touchdowns. He also caught 35 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown for the Broncos. His second season was impressive as well as he totaled 1011 rushing yards and seven rushing TDs.

After that, his role and production slipped in 2020 with the Broncos. In 2021, he was a backup for both the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins.

It will be interesting to see if anyone signs him away from the Colts' practice squad or if they bring him up after any injuries at running back occur on their depth chart.
