This has been a tough week inside the locker room for the Denver Broncos.

Just over a year ago, the Broncos, their fans, and the NFL lost one of the best wide receivers of this generation. On December 9th, 2021, the world lost former Denver WR Demaryius Thomas.

Thomas was a special player and person. He is one of the greatest wide receivers in Broncos' franchise history. Thomas also did a ton of work off the field in the community. He was simply just a stand-up human being.

Now, a young wideout is trying to begin a legacy of his own.

Broncos' wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has been one of the most physically gifted offensive threats in the league since he was drafted. He is showing his impressive potential and had a career game today against the Chiefs.

Jeudy accomplished a feat that hadn't been done since Thomas did it nearly a decade ago.

The timing was pretty beautiful, honestly.

No one could have predicted that Jeudy would have a game like he did today, but it came at a great time. The Broncos nearly came back from a 27-0 deficit to beat Kansas City due to the performances from Russell Wilson and Jeudy.

He had a great statement after the game regarding Thomas' impact on him and the Broncos.

The heartfelt message symbolized the passion that Broncos' fans have and had for Thomas. He was always a fan favorite, and they will never forget his legacy in Denver.
