It's always a cool moment when a player makes a game winning-play in a tight game. On Sunday, the Denver Broncos had a guy do just that as they were able to get their third win of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The season has not started great for Denver. They have struggled in the opening eight weeks of the season and started with a measly 2-5 record prior to their matchup in London.
Now that they won after losing four straight, the mood is getting a little bit better. It also helps when you have faith in the guys surrounding you, and the chemistry is good.
After Sunday, I think we saw a bit of that, and the chemistry looks to be there.
We were able to see just how close together this team is after one player made that game-winning play in the fourth quarter. The part that makes it even cooler, is what K'Waun William's teammates had to say after the game.
Justin Simmons said Williams called it that he would get the interception the next time that route was run on him, and he did. So, in a way, he called the game, right?
No, but really, you love seeing plays made like that and the teammates coming together after. It feels so much better the day after a win than it does the day after a loss, and that play was a huge reason why.
Let's not sleep on the fact that Justin Simmons also had a huge play. He had a goal-line interception that saved the game. Had he not intercepted, the game could have gone the other way.
