The Kansas City Chiefs could be doing something very similar to what they were forced to do last week against the Los Angeles Chargers.

This week, the Chiefs are taking on the other team from Los Angeles. The Rams may not be having as good of a season as the Chargers, but they can beat anyone, which is why they were crowned Super Bowl champions last season.

So far, for them, the 'Championship Hangover' is true.

But the Chiefs will have to replicate what they did last week and bring it over to this week.

Remember last week when a lot of people were worried about the Chiefs because they would be without JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, and eventually Kadarius Toney and Clyde Edwards-Helaire against a good Chargers secondary?

Yeah, I remember too. Then, remember when Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes just sort of took over? Yeah, me too.

This week could be similar. The Chiefs will be without Mecole Hardman still as he is on the injured reserve list, but also without Kadarius Toney, who was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

With two guys out, we could see the same approach by the Rams' defense. Let's make it tough for Travis Kelce, and make the other guys beat us, which is what I'd guess the Rams would want to do.

And, I'm sure the Chargers wanted the same.

But, it didn't work out for the Chargers, and frankly, I don't think it will work out for the Rams.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are on an absolute roll right now, and I don't know if there is anyone who could stop them.

With, or without Hardman and Toney, the Chiefs are going to do what they want to do, and opposing teams defenses won't dictate any of that.
