Part of what makes the Buffalo Bills’ (5-1) start to the season so remarkable is that the team has been able to rattle off wins without a handful of key starters.

Arguably the most important player missing from action has been the Bills All-Pro cornerback, Tre’Davious White. However, after being sidelined for the first six games, there is optimism that White could make his season debut in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers.

White opened the regular season on the Bills’ physically unable to perform (PUP) list due to a knee injury. Because of this designation, White hasn’t even been able to practice with the team since training camp.

That could all change during the Bills’ much-needed bye week.

Not only is White expected to return to practice, but ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports that the Bills hope to have him back to full practice status upon the team’s return from the bye week.

With an ailing secondary that will be without All-Pro safety Micah Hyde for the remainder of the season, White’s reemergence could vault this Bills’ pass defense from the middle of the pack to one of the league’s top units.
