The New Orleans Saints have brought back a former fan favorite on offense. They are having a reunion with veteran running back Latavius Murray. Murray has been signed to the practice squad for RB depth.

Murray spent the two seasons before last year with the Saints as their backup RB. Last season, he ran the ball 119 times for 501 yards and six touchdowns.

In two seasons with the Saints, Murray had 292 carries for 1293 yards and nine touchdowns. The signing corresponds with the minor injury that RB Alvin Kamara suffered in Week 1. Head coach Dennis Allen did not sound like he would miss any time, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

For now, Murray will be on the practice squad. Look for him to join the active roster if any of the RBs on the roster miss time.
