The Pittsburgh Steelers' matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend got a little extra spice thanks to some comments this week from Ben Roethlisberger.

Big Ben went on his new podcast, Footbahlin', and had some unkind things to say about the Bengals.

"When you played Baltimore, you knew it was gonna be a physical football game," said Roethlisberger. "But it was gonna be physical in the sense that two teams were just going out and they were gonna pound and grind. Clean, just physical."

"When you played Cincinnati, there was a stretch of games there, years there when you played them, you almost didn't wanna play. I'll be honest, there were times I was almost fearful to play because I was afraid I was gonna get hurt because of something dirty. Something cheap."

There's no doubt there have been some questionable hits over the years from Bengals players on Steelers players.

The most infamous of those was an incredibly dirty hit from Cincy linebacker Vontaze Burfict to wide receiver Antonio Brown.

It doesn't get much worse than that. Hits like those are why Roethlisberger's comments about the Bengals are legitimate.

I'm sure it'll be another tense matchup between the two teams on Sunday.
